Our Classes
At Very Good Improv, we offer a progressive curriculum that takes you from absolute beginner to advanced group dynamics. Classes run from 101 (Introduction to Improv) through 401 (Advanced Group Course). We also offer a music improv track for those interested in singing their hearts out!
Courses sell out quickly, so we suggest adding your name to the waitlist for the upcoming semester.

Jumping ahead?
We know some folks already have improv experience and want to level up without starting at 101. We do suggest starting there anyway, it's a great way to connect with your cohort and brush up on fundamentals. But if you're ready for something more advanced, fill out this quick form to let us know. Once 201 sign ups open to the public, we'll be in touch. We don’t currently allow jumping straight into 301 or 401.
MUSIC IMPROV
Ever wanted to be in a musical? Our musical improv track takes lessons you’ve learned in improv and applies them to the musical genre!
Learn the basics of creating songs on the fly, and building them into improv scenes! You don’t need to be a great singer to try music improv, you just have to want to try something new and fun!
Our music improv classes will teach you the basics of song structure, and how to incorporate it into an improv scene! We suggest having at least a 201 class (from anywhere) under your belt so you can get the most out of this course.
Our music improv track is also on summer break, but will be back soon! Sign up for the waitlist to be the first to hear when sign ups are live!
What Students Are Saying…
“I'm a reserved and anxious person who made the last minute decision to join improv, something I've never seen in person before and only vaguely understood, and it's the best decision I could've made. […] You don't have to be experienced at all (take it from me) because your instructor and your peers will help guide you along the way and you'll all find your footing together. […]
I still can't believe I jumped into this but I feel like I've hit the jackpot!”
-K.
“I’ve met some great people and I’m having a ton of fun in my 201 class — can’t recommend enough!”
-Sam
“This has been the most fun and most positive experience ever! Highly recommend!”
-Matthew
"I encourage anyone interested in taking an Improv Class to check out Very Good Improv! I am having a fantastic experience in the 101 Class and am learning so much! The environment is incredibly positive and inclusive, and it is helping me to come out of my shell and gain tools for Improv and for life! I can't recommend it highly enough! You won't regret it!"
